What are "Life" benefits?

Olympia currently sells products related to healthcare and travel. As we continue to develop our position in these markets, other opportunities to create value for our clients are constantly evaluated. Olympia will focus on enhancing the lives of our clients through products and services in a category we call "Life". Life products are typically restricted to life insurance whereas we envision a broader category of "Life" to give us the flexibility to enrich our client's lives in many aspects.

Olympia has been in business since 1996 and operates as a subsidiary of the publically traded company Olympia Financial Group Inc. Over the past 15 years, we have processed nearly 1,000,000 claims for over 29,000 businesses and 80,000 employees. With annual claims exceeding $60 million, we are the market leader with an unparalleled depth of industry expertise and resources that allow us to deliver solutions that no one else can.

Who We Are

We are about expertise and people who have a passion to help others.

Thirteen regional managers in offices across the Western Provinces and more than 30 head office employees support over 1000 independent agents to help create and deliver value to our clients. A dedicated client service centre with a motivated and well trained staff separates Olympia from the competition and ensures timely and reliable responses to our customers. We have a world class and industry best claims adjudication team with over 40 years experience. Our accounting team is lead by veterans of the financial services industry that ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting for the strict regulatory environment subjected to a public institution. We staff a full time information technology team that offers a wealth of experience in creating and maintaining the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of our proprietary in house technical systems.

Finally, Olympia is guided and inspired by two distinct pioneers and visionaries of the private health services plan industry – Rick Skauge and Robin Fry. In 2009, Rick Skauge was nominated Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.
