Prescription Drug Coverage:

Using an Olympia Health & Dental Plan, you can have your business reimburse employees for any prescription drug costs which are not covered by the provincial drug programs – up to annual limits determined by your company.

This includes all types of prescription medications, without the restrictions that are often put in place by health insurance companies. If you have questions about specific types of medication being eligible, please don’t hesitate to contact us and ask.

Also, while provincial drug programs are not available directly through Olympia Benefits, we are very knowledgeable about how the plans work and how they can work with other health and dental plans. Please get in touch with us to learn more about customizing a benefits package that fits your situation.

What if I already have an insurance plan in place?

Prescription Drugs are often covered by insurance companies for 70% - 100% of drugs used.

The uncovered portion would be an eligible expense for the Olympia Health and Dental Plan.

Example:

Total cost for prescription drugs: $1,000
Insurance coverage: 80% ($800)
Uncovered amount: $200 (eligible for the Olympia Health and Dental Plan)

One of the excellent features of the Olympia Health & Dental Plan is that it can work so well alongside of other plans that you currently have in place. Many of our customers use only an Olympia plan for their health and dental expenses, but we also have thousands of customers using a combination of insurance and Olympia to best handle their situation. There are several factors that will determine the appropriate solution for you, from family history and concerns to an overall budget, and Olympia can help you to evaluate your options. Please contact Olympia Benefits for more information.
