Testimonials

We at SKILLS Society in Edmonton would like to comment on our Health and Dental plan administered by Olympia Benefits Inc.

Having been on the Olympia plan since October of 2003, we have enjoyed both the broad coverage provided and the high level of service. Over the years we have had prompt assistance in adding or removing employees, making changes to the terms and conditions of the plan, and generating reports for our accounting purposes.

We recommend Olympia's plan for Not-For-Profits and business owners of both small and medium size.

WOW! Great service, attention to detail, prompt payment of claims, flexible and extensive coverage, significant $$$ savings and the money in the fund is OUR asset. It doesn't get better than Olympia Benefits.

I recommend an Olympia PHSP to everyone I know running a business.

Hello Everyone,
Just thought this was so good I needed to share....maybe you are all doing it already??!

There is a company called Olympia Benefits, Inc. It is a private insurance company. It costs around $400 to set it up – this is a one-time fee, 100% deductible. There are various ways to set it up. We set it up by giving $500 to 1 CA , which meant Michael and I can have $5000 EACH to "write off any health care expenses" throughout the year (so $10,000 for our family – as we are both "employees" of East St. Paul Family Chiropractic.) It is basically like a health spending account. Great for dental, massage, etc. There are about 4 pages worth of stuff you can write off with it. How they make their money is they charge 10% above the cost. So, for example, if you had a dental bill for $100, your "business" (ours is just Dr. Michael Engel) would write a cheque for $110 to Olympia Benefits – this is a direct business expense. They keep $10 and they write a personal cheque to you for $100. It's great. Several of our self-employed patients are using it to "afford" chiropractic care (corrective care for their entire family).

Amanda, at Olympia Benefits has been super helpful in answering all of our questions and in making sure our claims have been paid. (PS Massages at the Ten Spa qualify!)

Thought I would share the info.
