It’s a Celebration

Win iPad 2

We’re here to listen and learn – not to sell.

As a part of our objective to provide the best experience possible for our customers and partners, Olympia Benefits is now available on Twitter. Join us on Twitter if you have feedback, a question, or if you just want to share something with us.

Olympia will not be using Twitter to clutter your feed with endless marketing.  We are here to listen, support, and build a relationship with you.  Our aim is to be a reliable resource with timely and relevant content.

To celebrate the launch of our Twitter account and MY Olympia 2.0, we have decided to reveal one of our secrets to success:

Originally from a rainforest far away, this arboreal character migrated to Canada 16 years ago in search of new beginnings.  Upon arrival, Agalychnis callidryas (family name at birth), was amazed to find how difficult it was for small business owners and Canadians in general to secure benefits for themselves, their families, and their employees.  Back home, the only worry was that bothersome tree snake and the wandering spider.  “Wow! There’s alot of work to be done up here!”

16 years later, the little frog that could has helped 85,000 Canadians jump their way to benefits that work.  A certified health and dental benefits guru, a crawling encyclopedia of fact, a real hop starter with more bounce to the ounce than a slinky, Olympia is very thankful to have such a great team member.

Recently, having mastered life offline, our green friend has migrated to the digital world.  As this was happening, we realized this secret weapon of ours never gave us his first name (and to be honest we’re sick of Agalychnis callidryas).

To get the ball rolling and start interacting with you, we invite you to join us on Twitter to stick a name to our amphibious friend.  By following us and tweeting your suggestion for a name, you will have a chance to win the new iPad .  Use the hashtag #Olympiacontest along with your name.  The draw will be made on July 16th, 2012.

Good luck and don’t be shy!  We’d love to hear what you’re up to.

Can you clarify, I’ve entered the draw, but am not a client as an individual, but our company uses Olympia for our benefits although I haven’t been here long enough to start my own, and I am the benefit coordinator. Do I still qualify?

I am forever grateful to Olympia for having an incredible Dental Plan that has been a God send as I go through my implant journey! Without Olympia I would have definetely been in a bigger financial struggle and Olympia has allowed me to sleep more peacefully at night! My “Sports Car In My Mouth” forever thanks Olympia!

I don’t do tweets, I don’t do Facebook. And I have a feeling that there is a law somewhere about contests in Canada having to be open to everybody (Except Quebec residents, for some reason…).

So, how do I get a chance at the ‘pad without having to be more than just one of your customer?…

    • Olympia Posted July 9, 2012 at 3:04 pm | Permalink

  51. Laurel Posted July 12, 2012 at 8:08 pm | Permalink

How about “Healthy” for the frogs name because he will cover all aspects of health benefits that Olympia provides and would also remind all of us to stay Healthy!!!!

  52. Kristin Gee Posted July 13, 2012 at 9:13 pm | Permalink

I am posting my entry for the contest here, as opposed to on Twitter, as per Olympia’s response to Stephen Young.

The name that I propose for the frog is “Zoi,” a Greek word meaning “life.” This is in keeping with the Greek name “Olympia” and also the company’s mission statement provided on their website which reads “To provide Canadians with the opportunity to secure optimal Healthcare and “Life” benefits.”

    Thank you for your consideration!

  53. Darryl Bosch Posted July 16, 2012 at 3:42 pm | Permalink

I submitted a name via Twitter but it doesn’t turn up in any searches for #Olympiacontest so I’m going to submit it here too. Maybe it’s just because I’m newer to Twitter than Olympia and I don’t really know what I’m doing :)

My suggestion is Flip. Kind of fun, active, and sort of describes how we flip our personal expenses to our company.

    Thanks for the fun!

where does one make suggestions and/or observations about claim from entry issues. I have not found it particularly user friendly
